Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to water systems, according to city officials.
At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.
Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.
Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.
Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to restore power.
A wave of strikes hit power facilities and residential structures in the capital.
Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.
Local officials said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were wounded.
The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the territory, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.
The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.
Government officials told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting energy systems.
Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
